Get a pitmaster's young barbecue business ready for investors, first with an analysis for a Phoenix restaurant, then with a website, a catering price sheet and an investor model.

Three to five versions of the brand live at once, quotes as ranges with nothing behind them, a raise to size, and a new concession agreement at a Los Angeles convention center.

Problem

One name an investor could verify in one search, and prices a buyer could check line by line, on a separate instrument for the institutional buyer.

What we did

Hold the website until the business had one name; rebuild pricing from the true cost of a cooked pound; give the convention-center channel a cost-plus-fee quote.

Result

One name, mfbbq.us, by directive; the pricing method delivered April 9, 2026, his model rebuilt on it a day later. Active, now with an equity position, terms pending on his raise.

A range with nothing behind it does not read as flexible to a serious buyer. It reads as a number nobody checked, and he negotiates it down.Jesse Fowler
